Does eth1 receive only IP and netmask via DHCP, or does it receive the
default gateway also? You cannot have two default gateways.
Try assigning a static IP to eth1 and see if it works.

To further help you, please post the output of these commands when
both eth0 and eth1 are up:

netstat -nr
cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth*
uname -a
cat /etc/*release
