I just want to mention this again. The following behavior can be seen in the Windows OS: Wacom tablets have the ability to detect the pen even when it goes beyond the demarcated borders on the tablet. This makes it very easy to move the cursor along the very edges of the screen when the whole tablet is being used.
This is one of those "usability" things that I'm almost sure Wacom intentionally implemented in their tablets. Sadly, the linuxwacom drivers completely ignore the pen once it goes beyond the demarcated area on the tablet. This makes it difficult to position the cursor at the edge of the screen (when using the whole tablet). Because of this, I set the active area of my tablet smaller than I would otherwise, just so I don't get the "sticky" edges when using the tablet. It would be very nice if the linuxwacom devs can implement this behavior. Any thoughts? P.S. You can try for yourself even on linux. Click the pen tip a bit outside the rectangle on your tablet. You will see that the light turns green, but the cursor stays where it is (desired behavior is that it should jump to the corresponding edge). ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
