Stupid question? No! (Are there any?)

You can copy the modules between machines provided you have the same config on 
the kernel on both machines. I'm not so sure how often this case is, so I 
usually recompile the module on the machine just to be sure..

You've probably got a kernel oops, so you need to reboot... But, before you do 
that run 'dmesg' and save that info on file. Also copy back the original 
wacom.ko in the /lib/modules directory or you will have the oops again after 
reboot...

If you need help interpreting the oops, send that part to me and I'll help you 
tomorrow (it's late now for me...).

If you want I think you can test with the kernel module from 0.7.6-4, it 
should also contain the fix you need and might behave better. I've seen 
problem with 0.7.7-1 and 2.6.14 kernels, but that should be corrected by 
now.. And it shouldn't be that problem anyway..
