Really was very easy and the people are great at support if you have any problems. If they call dial in to the Google box they can help you with about anything. Took us about a hour (including configuring our fiewall ) to set it up and then about 2 days to set all the collections and key phrases. We had a box go down and could not recover, they Fedexed a new box the next day.

At first we would have problems with the box locking up and we would have to reboot. We think that was because we were running the indexing too often. changed the indexing to twice a day and have had no problems since.


You can go to www.childrens.com and try the search. We are still amazed at how fast it works.

We have extra space in one cabinet at Level 3. All that is in it is a Google
search appliance. In three years we have never had any down time.


If anyone is interested we can give you access to the cabinet and your can
do your own thing, just pay for the portion of the cabinet you use.

We were totally out of commission between 4 am and 8am. couldn't get to
our rack at all.

I've heard from a few others that are experiencing issues, anyone else?

Some say they are STILL having problems with their server(s) at The
Planet.
