I built and launched a file cabinet module for our contract management
application recently. Our parent company wanted something more secure
than e-mail to transfer files between us and our partner companies, so I
built it as simply & quickly as I could.
Problem is that we've got dozens of companies that will be uploading
files to us and it's got nothing more than <cffile> and a nice UI due to
time constraints. So this morning I looked up Event Gateways on livedocs
and had a DirectoryWatcher running and logging changes on my local dev
server in about five minutes. Two minutes later, it's sending e-mail
notifications.
Finally I've got a great reason to upgrade the main servers to CFMX 7.
The CD's been sitting on the shelf for to long. Mwah-ha-ha-ha!
