If I remember correctly, I think lots of Gundam fans felt the same way about it when it was released in Japan.
Someday a decent Gundam RPG style game will come out. Universial Century Online? To bad that game has such high system requirements.

Kids, maybe. I think the super deformed mobile suits would particularly appeal to them. But the suits could very well be a drawback with older players (it's a bit difficult to take seriously the threat of a giant super deformed mecha...). And the initial plot hooks don't really stand out from anything else on the market.
What I'm more or less trying to say is that the SD mecha are the ONLY thing that makes this game particularly worthy of interest. And for many gamers they'll actually be a turn-off.
