That's why I think it's NOT about the economical. Zabists (I prefer
to distinguish the Zabists, e.g. Gihren, Delaz, Gato from the
Zeonists, e.g. Char, Ranba) would sacrifice the last tin of spam and
the last fighting MS before they would stop keeping up the appearance.
Agreed on that sense. It's really a display of power and pride.
Interesting note that you separate the Zabists from the Zeonists - it's
a clarification that I agree with. Again, going back to Cima, I could
just imagine what sort of resource-juggling she was doing to keep up
appearances - and her Marine Gelgoogs.
