I suspect part of the reason Hasegawa's stuck with the Valkyries for
their Macross line is because they're originally, and still
primarily, a maker of AIRPLANE kits (and generally a darn good one).
Their VF-1 kits were a great way to expand their expertise into a
new field and get new customers, but I'm not sure how much interest
there is within the company of going beyond Macross mecha that turn
into airplanes.
That said, I'd love to see them do a VB-6 Koenig Monster...
Hasegawa has been doing the Virtua-on line of mecha kits. I think
they have 5 so far. I wonder how they are? I know they need a lot of
decal and painting to get the complex color schemes right.
