That's the problem, isn't it? It just doesn't fit, which makes it not
very tolerable to me in a war setting. Within the context of
Patlabor, where the Griffon is its closest relative, so to speak, it
fits, and so even though it's ugly as sin, it still works. The
Kaempfer may have a place in that universe, but it just doesn't work
in Gundam.
The Dogas... There's no excuse. I find those things very ugly. A
Jegan is just as practical and still look decent. Keep in mind that
I'm very much a form-follows-function kind of person when it comes to mecha.
