That's a cheap trick. Oh not talking about you, but the writers.
The big cliff hanger last time around was Graham bearing down on
Setsuna (why does he get all the tough fights) and after a week-long
suspense, the face-off was nothing close to spectacular and IIRC the
rest of the episode had nothing to do with Union and Graham. Cliff
hangers are fine if there's a mini-arc that needs two or more episodes
to elaborate. But the Graham story took less than the second half of
ep.2 and less than the first half of ep.3 to tell, so there's no
excuse to split up the story, in particular the action sequence
between two episode. They should have start an episode on Graham, go
to commercial break as Graham is firing his first shot at Setsuna,
have that obglitatory cliff hanger over the break, finish the fight as
we come back, then do the debriefing/hyperbolisation and introduce
Prof. Aifman to finish off the episode.

So ehhh... I am not counting on a good fight between Ali and Setsuna
for next episode. I can bet that we will find little revelation of
Setsuna's and Ali's pasts by the end of next episode. Preview hinted
that ep.7 will rush a pseudo resolution of the Ali/Setsuna cliff
hanger and jump to another development involving all 4 Gundams and
perhaps between the 4 Gundam pilots.

BTW I got the Conclave-Mendoi sub for ep. 6, man they put a lot of
love into it. Especially the song lyrics, with the SFX they add to
the words that's attractive, tasteful, useful (you can almost learn
Japanese from it) and not distracting.

BTW #2, hope you all noticed that Moralia is actually Monaco, present
population 32,671.

"Found a Port" is present day Port of Monaco, "Port of Moraria" (note
spelt differently than Moralia) is present day Port of Fontvieille.

BTW #3, my wife wants to know what kind of duct tape does Sumeragi use.
