Well, if the "objective" is "first come first served" then we are probably
all in agreement.
Actually, I was out behind my house this morning and I thought to myself,
gee, wouldn't it be a good idea if I adopted the trademark approach to my
property line?
You see, my property line is a bit obscure. But if I take the trademark
approach, I can say that my neighbor is a land pirate and, consequently,
expand my own property line to protect my core interest.
What, you say that my neighbor also has property rights? Bah, they aren't
as important as mine because I do business from my house and that makes my
property rights more important than his.
Isn't that essentially what the trademark point of view is with regard to
other users of the DNS namespace?
