>To say that Adam Todd, Richard Sexton, and Einar Stefferud are stacking the
>deck in NSI's favor is a total mischaracterization.

Sadly, no it's not.

It does not matter that each person will claim independence of NSI, while
taking their money. In terms of micro-behaviors, that independence is
entirely valid. In terms of serving NSI's interests, it's not.

NSI benefits by delay in implementing any plan. The named folk (as well as
others who have received NSI support) have actively worked to delay every
proposal that has been put forward.

It does not matter how well-intentioned any person is, when their actions
aid NSI and NSI chooses to give them funds, but does not give funds to
others working to get a proposal implemented sooner.

>Adam is well known for his criticisms of NSI and NSI's current monopolistic
>position. As are Richard and Stef.

Again, it is important to realize that comments about NSI are not the issue.

The issue is whether the effort gets a plan implemented sooner or whether
the effort results in delay.

NSI benefits from delay and is, therefore, being entirely consistent with
their goals when they fund participants whose primary effect is to assist
in creating more delay.

So far, they've gotten more than two years of delay, and Wall Street is
delighted.

Meanwhile, consumers get no competitive choices and no additional TLDs...
