Jeff and all:

On November 18 we have send a proposal to help on the translation
to spanish ALL the documents, web sites, and web forms related to
the AT LARGE election.

You can see the whole proposal (in english :-) ) in :
http://www.axisnet.perured.net/1999111802.html

I ask myself how many organizations that are involved in this IFWP
can provide some translation to more languages.

I think that the, more or less, US$25,000 that the ICANN budget has
for the translation to the mayor languages NEED urgently that
the whole comunity put some translation work in the hands of the
ICANN board. This is a time for help (and in this way we can
get a more world wide process).

I guess that the mayor languages would be:
- English
- Spanish
- German
- French
- Italian

I would love to get:
- Chinese (mandarin ? cantonese?)
- Japanes
- Portugues/Brasilian
- Native North American Languages (navajo?)
- Native South American Languages (quechua, aymara)
- The many languages that are spoken in India
- Catalan, and the other original languages that are spoken daily in Spain
- Russian, Check, Holland, and other European languages

ok, ok, I will try to get someone to translate to "quechua" or "aymara"... I
will do my best... it will not be easy... but I will try...

Regards,

Javier
