Javier and all,
Javier, I don't believe that $25,000 is needed for the translation
of any and all ICANN documents as well as E-Mail exchanges
into 10 or more different languages. I believe that about $5000
would be sufficient. We [INEGroup] do it for that now. So I
see some PORK in this budget.
Have you looked at blowfish yet Javier? If not why not?
Has the ICANN Board? If not, why not. Where else has
the ICANN Board actually looked themselves? My guess,
is that they haven't. Why not? Lazy, perhaps. Or are they
just too important of people to bother with it, hummmm?
Also, if ICANN has all this wonderful support to which they
claim they have, this problem shouldn't even exist, should it?
I would think not. One wonders. Is this a "Leadership"
problem perhaps? Again, one wonders. With the "Great?"
Jones & Day law firm as their legal representative, it would seem
to me this problem would have long sense been addressed, would
it not? Again, one wonders...
With the NTIA and the DOC being "Bosom Buddies" with the
ICANN Board, most especially Esther Dyson and Mike Roberts,
and the fact that the NTIA is supposed to be shepherding and has
oversight of the "ICANN PROCESS", the translation into many
different languages should be done from the beginning and the
NTIA/DOC as the "Sheperding" role here, could and should
have easily provided some avenues for this to occur. Again,
one wonders...
So in closing here Javier, and IFWP participants, it seems
to me rather obvious that something else is afoot here that
does not include "inclusiveness", "Openness", and "Accountability"...
I will leave you Javier, and all of the IFWP participants to determine
for yourselves to draw your own conclusions....
