You sure you just don't have a bad laptop? Is it at the same bios rev. as your 
other ones of that model?  When you try to diskpart manually can it see the 
drive at all?

I would try resetting BIOS to defaults and try again?  Maybe a setting is 
jacking you up.

We've replaced the hard drive, no luck. Formatted the drive to be safe, no
