That might not be a bad idea. I remember I was having a problem finding a suitable donor for my commute along hte lines of a helix but my wifes is soo short it just needs to be speedy for such a short time.
The trick is to find one that isn't complete junk. And since no one would be caught dead on a scooter around my parts it makes it even harder. If only it wasn't impossible to get a vin on a frame down here. I'm almost to the point of buying a salvage motorcycle like my 83 shadow frame and titling that and uhm transfer all the electrics and racks onto that frame yeah or something along those lines. But they want like 2k for the salvaged one that will never run again ugh.

My CBR does 50mph and could go higher with newer batteries and better
gearing. It uses six Hawkers and I bet you could get those to fit
into a Helix or other big scooter without too much trouble.
