Is that you Darin?
I don't know the internals of this motor, but there is a very specific area  
in which the high temp solder melts. This can probably be identified by 
talking  with people who have inspected damaged motors. It would seem to me 
that 
some  form of rod based weld approach could be used to amend this particular 
failure  issue. Of course that may simply produce a new issue as the weak 
point. 
Perhaps  John Bidwell will weigh in with what he found when he took his Etek 
apart after  it failed.
