Time is currently a problem so looking for less complicated
approaches. Would love to just buy a drift, blade, ac-motard or
even the little road runner but the wife wouldn't allow the expense.
I have also been kicking around the idea of going the electric
bicycle approach to start but think an etek on a bicycle might be a
little over kill.
Yes, eTeks on bicycles are scary. Fun, but still scary. I don't know
nutt'n about dirt bikes but every single conversion I've seen has the
motor tucked up in the frame. I gotta think it's for protecting the
motor.
I didn't know what an RM was so I did a Google. If anyone else is
lost, here's a pic of one:

Having built one and a half bikes I can tell you that it'll suck up
all your time. Correction: Wife read that over my shoulder and says
it's just that I have sucky time management practices.
Making mock-up parts out of foam or cardboard and fiddling with their
placement is not only a lot of fun but, I think, a big time saver too.
Look around the site at some of the other dirt bikes and copy^h^h^h^h
learn from what they did.
