I like the bidirectional so you can still use regenerative braking. I'm kinda paranoid about motor lock-up too, but I don't want to give up the regen. ----- Original Message ----- From: dale henderson To: ElectricMotorcycles Sent: Thursday, August 09, 2007 1:43 PM Subject: Re: [ElectricMotorcycles] More on motors
for the MT-130 and MT-60 make sure you check the max rpm for the driven [i.e. the motor] i think those are only rated for 1500 and 2600 rpm, respectfuly. also check the price! i did find something that would snap right on to an etek and would work up 3600 rpm its the FSO-400 from formsprag [http://www.formsprag.com/PDF/P-956-FC_pg014-015.pdf] but their list price was $800 [dealer $500]!!! The sales rep suggested the MT-130B, but that's too big, so I think, like explained in the last message, that I'll turn the drive shaft down to 3/4" and go for the MT-60, though I'm still not sure what the difference between the A B and C versions is. I assume it's mounting options. Hopefully, I can call tomorrow to clarify and possibly order. http://www.hilliardcorp.com/overrunning-clutch.html Albuquerque, NM http://geocities.com/hendersonmotorcycles/blog.html http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/1000 http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/1179 http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/1221 http://geocities.com/solarcookingman ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Luggage?
