it is 48 volts, my average commute is 20 miles which is done in about 45 minutes. to make it simpler lets say 1 hour per 20 miles so 600 miles / 20 = 30 hours that is a lot less than what it should be?! could a misaligned motor to wheel account for this? if so why would the brush wear be symmetric

Etek brushes life is told to be near 1000 hours at continous rating and 500 hours at 150A this on 48V, higher will short this a lot ! 2007/8/19, dale henderson < [EMAIL PROTECTED]>: needed to replace my brushes after only 571 miles on the motor [1500 total thus far for the bike on electric power] the brushes were worn down to 4 mm on the neg and 1 mm on the positive. what has been other peoples experiences with the frequency of etek brush replacement?
