Ouch 30 hours is a short life for sure, B&S claims must be optimistic or
probably for constant load but so much difference irl show a problem...

misaligned motor to wheel give bearing stress(and chain/sprocket wear),
brushes are not concerned so much.
If seeing good commutation your brushes should be shiny and pefectly smooth
aspect as here:

High revolution speed
to much current
brushes are soft grade

are most usuals causes.

How many amps mean do you use for your commute ?
