We had the same symptoms (TFS failing to respond) and it ended up being a disk IO issue on the SQL server (DB, Log and system files were all on one disk). Put in 2 more disks (one for DB data and one for trans logs) and haven't had a problem since.

We have recently installed TeamPlain 1.0 and people are point the finger at it. Along with these errors, TFS has failed to response and for the past three days the TFS instance has had to be manually restarted. Any suggestions on what to look for would be appreciated.
