Hi,
If I had to guess (haven't verified this) the emails from TSWA should be rendered using the same email templates from the TFS Application Tier. If this is in fact true you could edit the appropriate .xsl (found in %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server\Web Services\Services\v1.0\Transforms) and concatenate "[SEC=xxxxxxxx]" into the subject line. [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED] Hello We use Team System Web Access, and would like to use the Tools | Send as Email functionality when viewing a task. The problem is, we have a system where ALL emails must have "[SEC=xxxxxxxx]" in the subject. Usually, "[SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]". What I would like to do is specify a default subject addition text to tack onto the end of the email subject in TSWA. Ideally, it would look for the "[SEC=", and if found, not add the extra one, but I would guess that is asking too much. I am assuming that this is not currently possible, but how would I submit this for a request for future versions of TSWA? Thanks David ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Buck Hodges Sent: Tuesday, 18 December 2007 1:27 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [OzTFS] RE: Teambuild label remove old label? Okay, that makes sense. I've added to my list of future features having options to control what the retention policies delete. Hi Buck, I'd agree that keeping the old labels is useful for exactly the scenario Eddie mentions, where you want to get the source as of a certain build even if the build outputs have been purged. It may be that you want to re-create the build outputs by building against the original label. Hi Buck, I was troubleshooting a problem in a test VM using a relatively old build. Just wanted to get back to the source to check out something but didn't realise I can't go off the label anymore because TFS actually removes it. I guess now I've been bitten, I will remember to manually create labels instead of relying on TFS. That's correct. There are no options for the retention policy to control whether the label gets deleted. I'm curious to know why you'd want to keep the old labels. Hi, Team build labels everything in source after a successful build with the build number, but it also seems to remove old label after a successful build if we configure the retention policy? Is that correct? Can we keep all label TeamBuild created regardless of the settings in retention policy?
