I just spent a month, unplanned, in St Augustine and ended up loving it.
Definitely a live and let live attitude. It was refreshing to not see
bicycle riders with the latest spandex, helmet, rear view mirrors, racing
sunglasses, etc. Funky bikes, street clothes cigarette hanging out. $6
movies with a place to put your beer and nachos sold at the concession
stand, $1.50 happy hour beers, live music every night. The hardest
adjustment was getting used to the smoking in bars. Flagler College is in
town so there is a certain vitality that goes with a college town. Do not
tell anyone about this gem of a place.

Where are the cool places to live aboard in warmer climes? I'm sure
there are some great
ones somewhere.
