(which is why you never use a brush on wood and why cutting with a scraper helps) After the first coat of varnish a light sanding to get rid of the fuzziness that rises is all you need. Then do not sand again until this happens. ------- -------- |___| ------ ------- |____| Where the top of the varnish over the low spots is higher than the top of the harder wood. Then you can sand flat! I don't want to mess with something like Cetol that is going to look like crap and have to be fully stripped every year. I always used to use teak oil on my teak.
