I use Opera as my main browser and Firefox 3 as my second. I use IE about once a year. I never, ever use Outlook or Outlook Express. In fact, I have disabled them on all my computers. Trojans love Outlook. >> drive; Turns out that XP is a one shot deal. If the rest of the system is the same as it was when running happily, cloning or ghosting to another drive and plugging it in should work fine. The software sees the same motherboard, chipsets, BIOS, and installed programs. That the drive is dif should not be an issue. Unless you are trying to use one of the brand name companies who have Windows on a "restore disc". But avoid that. Clone or Ghost a working drive to another storage medium. You can then restore back from there to the same drive, or a new drive plugged into the same system. plugged into another system, instead, may be a problem. However I recently swapped motherboards & their chipsets out of one computer. Kept the drives and installs. Did not expect much, but upon booting and setting BIOS Windows started up. I had to run it through a looping series of it finding hardware and "installing" then rebooting, finding, rebooting, about a half dozen sequences. But by then it had all the new drives for the mobo chipset and features and was happy. And is still happy. So go figure. There was no need to revalidate. _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
