We've not been to Andros, but as Lee says, you need a weather window, and for us
(slow sailboat) it usually takes us overnight to go from the upper Keys to
Bimini, and two more days to get across the Banks to Nassau.

Andros would be closer and with a favorable wind you might do that part a little
quicker. Also we usually check in in Bimini, but you can wait until you get to
Andros.

Also a possibility - go to Chubb when you get a weather window and put the boat
in the marina there to wait for the gig (or take a mooring at Fat Hog Cay). Then
before New Years, fly to Chubb and sail from there to Andros. Of course you'd
have to have access to a private plane to do that - don't think there are any
commercial planes to Chubb.

There are also mail boats out of Nassau and I think they take pax and stuff but
don't know how frequent.

Why not contact the SSCA person in Nassau and see if he has any suggestions. His
wife does do trips to Andros (mostly for bird watching).
