So does Georgia, however most of the boats with CG documentation on my
dock don't have the stickers. When I asked why they said "we don't want
to have to pay county property tax on the boat". I guess the watercops
here aren't very concerned. The only time I've ever seen a watercop
active in Georgia waters, it was when 3 Hispanic fishermen were feeding
a friendly dolphin. I only mention that they were Hispanic because I'm
fairly sure they had no idea they were doing anything wrong. I don't
think feeding dolphins is against the law south of the border.

I do have registration but painted over the old one an haven't installed
the new one yet. I suspect I won't given that no one seems to care.

By the way, when I lived in VA, there was no registration requirement
for documented boats, but that was 20+ years ago.

Jim.
