Thought of one other thing: From time to time work the zippers on your dodger, bimini, sheet bags, or what have you, and lubricate them. You can get tubes of stuff that bills itself as specifically for zippers, but I think it's just regular teflon grease, like Super Lube. The all-plastic or nylon zipper sliders aren't affected, of course, but even the good aluminum ones succumb sooner or later to the corrosive environment.
