Ben, For sure your Whistler inverter is very cost effective so you can spend the remainder on other goodies.
My Trace was $2K but there *are* lots of bells and whistles. It is microprocessor controlled and can be set up for selling back power to the grid in various ways, even turning on a genset automatically.. My favorite is the three setable 12VDC relays that I can set the pull-in and drop-out voltages. I use one to turn on the house battery box vent fan when charging voltage level is present. My 2kW inverter doesn't have that feature.. _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://liveaboardonline.com/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardonline.com/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
