I had a Brother and noticed a slight dimming of lights when first switch
on so it seemed to drawing a lot of power in my mind. Cartridge ran out
of ink and cost was more than for a new printer so I bought a HP 1018
works great, lights stay on and replacement cartridge $58.00.
