Hi All, We are contemplating replacing our twin diesels with a 15 HP Honda 4 stroke. Weight considerations on our small cat and unavailability of parts for our worn out 25 YO sail drives are at the core of our decision. However i am really concerned about the adulteration of gasoline with ethanol. Problems I have heard about include short storage life and, with the higher ethanol content blend E20, engine problems. Honda specifically states that their warranty will not apply if over 10% ethanol blend is used.
We are planing a cruise to the Med and I fear the worst on the fuel front. Any first hand info on the subject? Storage life? Additives? Tank and fuel line considerations?
