That's a workaround, not a solution (and in fact it won't help
reliably). The real problem is that the sym53c8xx driver wrongly claims
support for your device. The real fix is available at:

I can use with 6.2-2? For various reasons I was really hoping to get the server
built today! In the meantime I will attempt to remaster...
