I have successfully managed a remaster - I just recompiled the kernel
without the sym53c8xx driver and then reproduced the iso. I do however
look forward to the new release!
Still, it would be nice if you build the kernel _with_ the sym53c8xx
driver and the patch. This way, I would be 100% sure that the patch is
correct for you, before releasing the CD.
I have done as suggested and the patch works.
