Long pressing the power button simply cuts the power. for some reason the shutdown process has paused or hung. The usual cause of this is oten network related, such as when trying to unmount network shares after the network has been shot down. How long have you waited for it to shutdown? These sort of situation usually time out after a few minutes. Ideally, you want to get rid of the splash screen to see what is going on, try pressing Esc as soon as the logo screen appears, this often gets rid of it so you can the the information it is hiding. -- Neil Bothwick Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?
