Wouldn't work, at least as long as we use fluidsynth for SF2 playback.
Fluidsynth sets patches per-synth, we can't set them per-note.

It depends. There's no solid plan or timeline for implementing per-note
controls, it's just something that has been hypothesized and talked
about. It also still has some problems to be worked out (eg. how does it
work with live play? how to connect midi controllers to per-note
controls? etc.) The question is, do we want to wait for something that
may be implemented at some undefined time, or do we want to get accent
implemented sooner?

Theoretically, if we use note volume for accent now and want to sometime
in the future transition in to using a per-note control (although, as
LB-302 only plays one note at a time, it doesn't really give that much
advantage for it), it could probably be done with a backwards-compat hack.

MIDI has some kind of program switch support.
