True, but a nice EQ that is active on every channel may make lmms a bit more captivating than having to chose and open an EQ from the effect list.

We should sometime mind how lmms shows itself: is it a nerdy/geeky program only for the ones that understand it, or is it the semi-professional program for beginners?

From how difficult is to learn how the program works, it always seemed a DAW intended to be professional to me, so you have to know what music making really is in order to understand where something can be. If most programs show an EQ for every track/channel, they don't use it as an "effect", but has something that comes /along/ with any piece of sound.

So I actually think that this is a good idea, and I would put a simple EQ (8 knobs is more than enough) between the effect zone and the channel list.

I know that adding features that really are new is the most important thing to do, but we may also try to put common and simple things ready for use, and do not force beginners or easypeasy-programs users to search what they always had in the 50% of the screen from an infinite list of effects.

I don't see the point. If you want an EQ on a channel you can click on the add effect button and have it there within seconds. Seems pretty pointless to automatically put EQ's on channels.

In fls all channels has an EQ. (Its like the EQ in zasfx)
    1) Would a feature like that be a worse cpu hog, than adding
    /external EQs/
    manually to every channel?
    2) Could that at all be implemented?
    3) Should it.. :p (If '1' is negative, and 2 positive, i would
    like to have
    it
