I'll very heartily second that.  I've also used both, though the moment I have to type nonsense that the computer should take care of for me (eg, "import org.apache.log4j.Logger;") I go running back to IDEA as quickly as I can.  Nothing else I've seen is on the same planet with its Intentions functionality (the IntentionsPowerPack for the EAP just furthers that point) or very smart Live Templates, and even products that do nothing BUT refactoring don't even come close to what IDEA can do.  Not to mention its JUnit integration, etc.  Very, very sweet.  Eclipse is nice in a lot of ways, but it's just not in the same class when it comes to the day-to-day creation and maintenance of code.

I like Eclipse, but I like IDEA better.  IDEA isn't as well known, and it costs some money (although nothing like the insane prices JBilder demands), but the OTI people (I know one of them, from the shop in Switzerland, who I've met a few times here in Germany) will tell you that IDEA is the only IDE on the market that they consider as worthy competition.  IDEA also has a number of famous evangelists, the most notable probably being Martin Fowler.

I find that very few Eclipse zealots have ever tried IDEA, but that the reverse is true of IDEA zealots - that is, most IDEA zealots seem to have tried Eclipse as well, and like IDEA better.  I suspect that means something.  :-)

I am more productive with IDEA than any other IDE I've ever tried.  You really ought to take a look at it, if you've got the time.
