What do you mean you ran the tool with D as an option?

If you look at the votes there were a couple of votes that clearly disliked D. 
With A there was only one vote that had it in the bottom third. 

To me it seems obvious that A should be the winner despite what the tool said.  
But I don't want to unilaterally declare that.
