Sorry, but the LPIC-1 exam DOES test package management. It doesn't happen 
to test the kind used by Gentoo, but it does cover both RPM and Debian 
package management.  If a significant part of installing packages required 
SQL expertise, I could see a case for including SQL in the package 
installation objectives, but I don't think we're there yet.
