This was the prompt answer (I omit the sender data for privacy reasons ) : ... " The printer will send an acknowledgement that it has received the job after it has received it, goes without saying it will receive and process it before it will print it, your software is using this information to interpret page count. You can use the configuration page that can be printed from printers frontpanel to see the page count. Alternatively you can use use a web browser to login to the printers webpage, and goto> status> general> here you can read the page count. " ... I have no words to comment these explanations.
