Have you noted on MAndrake 9.1rc1 that if you skip the
first time wizard, you are thrown into KDE no matter
what? I even went to /etc/sysconfig/desktop and wrote 

DISPLAYMANAGER=gdm
DESKTOP=icewm

to it with absolutelly no real concern to my
prefferences, it goes straight to KDE and when I tried
to change the display manager with "telinit 3; sleep
15; telinit 5 & all I got is NO reboot, and it stayed
at init 3, then I made an init 5, no reboot or
anything, and no more display manager at the servers
screen, its always tty! 8(

anyone have an idea on how to fix it?
