I'm getting both kinds of crashes--complete lockups requiring a hard reboot of
the client, and also Xserver crashes where the machine restarts X and goes
back to the login prompt.  

BTW, one thing I recently did was change my Netgear 10/100 hub over to a good
3Com switch, but it didn't make any difference.
