+1 and besides getting control, who'll manage the web site update and the strategy: a) regular updates with how-tos, tips/tricks (Rafael Laguna's blog do that kind of well) b) just official announcements, usually when we launch alphas, betas and stable releases. > > 2. I'm not sure if I'm saying +1 or it's just another doubt or suggestion. Is Lubuntu development stalled? Let's see the facts, only what I know from the empirical observation: 1) there's a security high priority bug assigned to Julien and nothing has been done since Julien acknowledged the bug exists and should be patched, however nobody (no devs) have time: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/1205384/comments/29 2) Lubuntu has some minor nasty bugs such as ghost icons on PCManFM, drag and drop problems on PCManFM too, and some other minor stuff all around. Sometimes I feel like Lubuntu should redefine the sentence "a lighweight OS that works out of the box". Btw, the keyboard key to print screen does not work at Lubuntu 13.10 either. Besides bug list, there's thread at UF on workarounds for 13.10 cycle, including Lubuntu: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2182038 Said in another way, I think Lubuntu needs new or more developers. Maybe we need also a new Developer Team Leader. I'm not asking for Julien to leave. Everyone is responsible and should be responsible when accepting a job, as a volunteer, or a paid job. If Julien is ok, he would be a great developer supporting Lubuntu. Again, I'm not asking for his "head". People should be responsible! Maybe even Ali and Phillw (phillw has already left theh TL building) should leave. IMHO, leaders are leading the project to its objectives: failure or success. It's all a matter of responsability. Btw, that's why I call myself a social media admin and QA/Tester of Lubuntu. I'm not a Comms TL: I can't have that responsability. But that's just my opinion. I'm realllly sorry if I'm offending someone. I do not mean to offend. > > Best regards > Nio > > -- > Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-comms > Post to : [email protected] > Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-comms > More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp -- https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Ibere-Fernandes -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-comms Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-comms More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
