I completely agree with Mark. Building infrastructure is expensive and the
incumbent telcos are not going to build it if they then have to share the
lines with other companies. With this thinking it could take decades for
fiber to make it up the coast from South Africa and then inland toward
Uganda. Now would be a great time for budding ISPs to get in and take a
large piece of the pie!
