Its called regulation to prevent monopolies. Monopolies, as we know on this 
list, are not a good idea. And comcast has a monopoly on delivering broadband 
services to your house. That is why they make a pretty insane amount of 
money, and why the US lags behind in broadband services.

In countries where there is more regulation, broadband is more common than in 
the US.
