Hi,

In Nautilus you can access FTP and sftp from the file menu. Just click file
and chose connect to server, chose the protocol from the drop down, enter
credentials and you are in!

Hi,

Sorry, i was not clear enough.

fish:// is just something you type in your Dolphin application, like http://
or ftp:// Its not a protocol.

The underlying protocol it uses to connect to the server is ssh. I think,
but
this is a hunch, that sftp is pretty much the same.

So, if you have ssh-server running on your server (so, if you can ssh from
the
command prompt), thats all you need on the server.

I dont use nautilus or ubuntu, so i am not sure how you can directly connect
to an sftp/ssh server from it. If i remember correctly this was discussed
about 6 months back though, on the list, so perhaps try to search the
archives
of the LUG mailinglist.

rgds,

Reinier
