Man I hate virtualmachines but Paul, there you have it. I would definitely go the Linuxmint way Peter suggests. there is another Linux flavour that takes you OUT of windows and FULLY into Linux but I can’t remember it off head. No, it is not an OS it is an Ubuntu app that helps you install Linux from within Windows. If you want the fun Peter is having, I STRONGLY recommend codeweavers. And yes $60 is trivial for the ability to play windows games (ONLY THING to miss in Linux REALLY).

It's CodeWeavers CrossOver Office Pro. I used it back then and it was really buggy. Paul could start off using Linux in windows. I recommend Linuxmint. (I think others have in the past too). It even has a windoze installer that pulls Virtualbox for you, installs it + linuxmint and you are ready to go. _______________________________________________ The Uganda Linux User Group: http://linux.or.ug Send messages to this mailing list by addressing e-mails to: [email protected] Mailing list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Mailing list settings: http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug To unsubscribe: http://kym.net/mailman/options/lug The Uganda LUG mailing list is generously hosted by INFOCOM: http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
