Hear, hear, Jake! Really, any kind of computer education should focus on getting the student to grasp the concept enough to find their own answers as they go. When someone asks me about something in, say, LibreOffice Writer, and I go over and fix it, it's not like I know everything about the program. I just have the common sense to look in the right places as hinted by the GUI, and * that's* what they should teach.
