As usual, you are welcome to IHSU - 3rd floor of IHK in Namuwongo (High FOSS Density, huh?) to see and experience what our students (nurses, lab techs, doctors, public health specialists, at Diploma, BSc and MSc levels) do when they first walk into a Lab with Ubuntu Computers - now running 12.04.
Bob, at the College, you might want to run a local mirror - to save on the bandwidth you are using when updates need to get run. And yes, we are also teaching a computer skills course, which is crafted around the "common-sense" to find what you need, as long as you know what you want to do; as opposed to the cram-master style of "its always blue, and its found here"! 2 years on, and my experience is once you are on hand to guide new users, they will have an awesome experience once they beat the devils inside them. And most always ask to switch their computers...after a few months. So there is hope for both you gentlemen...
